If this backpack isn’t quite what you’re looking for, I’ve also reviewed other backpacks:

Features
- Dimensions: 13.5″L x 12.5″W x 17.5″H, for pets up to 22lbs/10kg
- Removable mat for cleaning. 4 mesh windows for air circulation and visibility. Double side pockets for storage. Built-in safety tether to prevent escapes.
- Shoulder straps, waist and chest buckle for weight distribution
- Material: made of extra durable 600D Oxford Cloth.

Pros
- Size: This backpack is a decent size and will fit most cats comfortably. It can be placed on its side to be more of a carrier shape, although there are no handles or straps on the side to change to carrier mode.
- Boxy design: This backpack has a very rigid design and allows the cat to sit on top of the backpack, without sagging. This is an important feature for some cat parents who’s cats like to sit on top of the backpack. The rigid structure also means that the backpack is not sagging downwards when the cat is inside.
- Front and top openings: The front and top openings is personally my favourite design. The front opening is good for training the cat to go inside by himself, and leaving it open like a window is great for when they are hanging out inside. The top opening is good for when you want the cat to stay inside and not jump out, but you also want to keep it open to look inside.
- Back padding: This backpack is one of the more comfortable backpacks on the market. It has a decent amount of padding on the back and shoulder straps. As with all cat backpacks, it will start to ache after an hour or so, so don’t compare it to a hiking backpack!
- Price: This backpack is priced fairly inexpensively, and for the quality of backpack, it’s well worth the price.

Cons
- Storage pockets: The newer version of this backpack comes with two small zipper pockets on each side. While this was useful in storing smaller items such as phones, wallets, and keys, it lacks the storage for bulkier items such as a water bottle or extra clothes.
- Does not fit on some planes: Some owners have used this backpack successfully on the airplane, but according to Canadian airline regulations, this backpack does not fit on the plane. Please check your airline guidelines if you are planning on bringing this backpack on the plane.

Do I recommend this backpack?
YES! This is the backpack I most often recommend to cat owners. It is inexpensive and accessible to most people online, and has almost every feature you need. The structure of the bag is what really sets it apart from the competition – it stays in shape even with a heavy cat sitting on top of it. The only restriction is the storage space, and there really isn’t much storage space for if you are going on a longer excursion. You could get around this by carrying a separate bag, or by getting a companion to carry your things.
If you are in the market for a cat backpack, I would highly recommend the Petsfit Backpack.
